PROHIBITED SHIPPING ITEMS

Make sure your cargo follows the TSA, customs, and FMC regulations. Adhering to the TSA and customs rules is something that SFL Worldwide doesn’t take lightly, so make sure your cargo doesn’t contain any of the items that are strictly prohibited, as detailed below.

  • All type of Used Electronics in Courier Shiments.
  • Electronic and Electrical Products and Spare Parts with battery source
  • Remote Controlled Toys
  • Biological material such as bacteria or virus samples available.
  • Firearms, weapons, and their parts
  • Flammable and explosive chemicals or products
  • Hazardous waste materials
  • Live animals
  • Lottery Tickets and other gambling items
  • Money, including cash instruments, currency, coins and other forms of money or cash equivalents
  • Any shipment which may require the carrier to obtain a license for its transportation
  • All TSA, IATA Restricted Items and Dangerous goods.
  • Any item whose carriage is prohibited by any law, statute or regulations of the country of origin or destination, or of any country through which the shipment may transit.

If an item in the shipment is confiscated by our office or by Indian Customs because it is a prohibited item then, SFL Worldwide does not take any liability or is at fault. Additional charges will be applied to dispose or return shipment to origin.

    • Fruits and Vegetables
    • Raw rice and rice flours
    • Liquids & Semi-liquids
    • Food and beverages requiring refrigeration or other environmental control
  • Ayurvedic, Homeopathic & non-prescription medicines (certain restrictions apply. Please ask our office representative).
  • Drugs and Narcotics.
  • Money (Coins, Cash currency, Paper money and Negotiable Instruments).
  • Electronic and Electrical Products and Spare Parts with battery source.
  • Live animals and plants
  • Indian Postal Articles, Passport or USA Green Card
  • Liquids & Semi-liquids
  • Philately Items
  • Bullion
  • Firearms, parts thereof and ammunition
  • Precious & Semi-Precious Items
  • Radioactive Material
  • Corpses, cremated or disinterred remains
  • Gambling Devices: Lottery tickets and gambling devices where prohibited by national, provincial, state or local law.
  • Pornography
  • Dry Ice (including that used for packaging).
  • Any shipment which would be likely to cause damage, or delay to equipment, personnel or other shipments.
  • Any shipment which may require the carrier to obtain a license for its transportation
  • All IATA Restricted Items and Dangerous goods.
  • Any item whose carriage is prohibited by any law, statute or regulations of the country of origin or destination, or of any country through which the shipment may transit.

  • Highly Flammable Materials such as Gasoline, Butane, Propane, Camp Stove Fuel, or Charcoal Lighter.
  • Aerosol Containers, including Hair Spray, Cooking Spray, Cleaning Fluids, Insecticides, or Air Fresheners.
  • Corrosives or Solvents, such as Paint Thinner, Ammonia, or Bleach
  • Toxins such as Rat Poison, Herbicides, or Pesticides

Additionally any of the following items need to be certified as being properly prepared for shipment.

  • Internal combustion engines must have the fuel drained, be run to a stall, and then have the battery cables disconnected and the battery leads secured. This includes lawn and Garden equipment and generators as well as all motor vehicles.
  • SCUBA and other compressed gas cylinders must be professionally purged.
  • Outdoor items must be cleaned so as to be free from soil, vegetable matter, and insect pests
  • Any solid wood (not plywood or pressboard) must bear a heat treatment mark or be certified as having been treated with an approved ISPM compliant fumigant.
